Custom Transformers

Aural Thrills Audio is proud to join forces with Dodd audio to offer superior, American made, audio transformers for the home builder. The transformers shown are in stock and available for immediate shipment. These are the same transformers that I use in my well regarded 300B amp. It is available for solid state or tube rectification

POWER TRANSFORMERS:

All transformer internal wiring is OFC hi-temp insulation. PVC or other external wiring is used on all transformers.

The laminations used are 24 gauge M27 lams.

The transformers are available in different mounting configurations:

Upright with end bells

x-mount with end bell on top

open frame

channel mount (smaller transformers)

I can make transformers of any size and power capacity you may need.

Single winding transformers, multiple windings, and high voltage, anything you may need.

Primaries can be single, dual or any other configuration, and also they can be made for 50-60 cycle use.

Output transformers:

All transformer are wound with OFC hi- temperature wire

All of the output transformers use a 29 gauge M6 grain oriented steel lamination.

The output transformers can be made in any mounting configuration like the power transformers.

The transformers can be single ended, push-pull, push-pull with UL taps and they can be made in any impedances you may wish to use.

The outputs are normally a 4 ohm and an 8 ohm tap, but can be made with any output taps you may need.

Can be made for any power level needed, most manufacturers only go to 100 watts or so, I have made outputs in excess of 800 watts!

Normal machine winding techniques are used. Bifilar winding is also available as well as interleaving of windings. All transformers are of very high quality.

I can also make inductors and chokes, anything you may have in mind

ALL transformers are dipped in hot varnish to seal them against vibrations and moisture.
