Instructions for Teflon Connector installation
- Cut wire so that return line is about three
times as long as signal line.
- Strip signal line about 1/8 inch and insert
into tube and check that the return line will extend through hole
- Solder signal line into center post.
- Pull return line through hole on top of
connector.
- Cut and insert a small section of the clear
plastic tube if needed.
- Insert Plastic screw to hold both clear tube
and wire in place. Do not overtighten.
- Cut screw and save for other connectors.
- Measure and strip return wire so that it
will solder to the bottom side of return strip.
- Pre solder wire and return strip.
- Cut tang on return strip to required length
(you may also attach the return wire at this point)
- Install return strip and tie down the back
end by wrapping Teflon tape around the tang.
- Heat return strip with return wire touching
the strip to create a bond
- Let cool
- Slide shrink over entire assembly so that it
extends over the front by 1/8 inch.
- Heat with heat gun carefully to avoid
melting shrink.
- Use needle nose pliers to press return strip
into concave shape.
- Twist left and right when installing for the
first time.
- If it does not fit use needle nose pliers to
press.
- Twist left and right again while pushing
connector on.
- Connector will fit very easily after the
first time.
- Sit back and enjoy the clarity that removing
the brass can give.
