FAQ
What do the different metals sound like
Each type of metal has it's own unique sound. Here is a simple description of each.
Copper: Very rich sound with great bass. Every system should have some Copper in it.
Silver: The best conductor resulting in great detail, air and space. Using too much Silver will result in an overly bright sound.
Gold: The richest sounding of them all. Great bass and tube like sound. Using too much may result in a slow sounding system.
Palladium: A very unique sound. The most neutral with a cool upper register sound. Never bright.
Why do you use such small wire in your interconnects?
Using wire larger than 30awg creates distortions and weak bass. Music signals do not travel through wire like water through a pipe. Instead, much of the signal travels outside of the wire in a wave form. Due to internal resistance, the part of the signal that travels through the wire is slowed. This is how distortion is created between the different parts of the signal. Using thicker wire creates more resistance and thus more distortion.
Why don't you use braided wire in your interconnects?
Countless tests have revealed that braided wire causes negative interaction between strands. The resulting sound is lacking in air and space. Small details are lost. Keeping all signals isolated results in an openness not offered by other cable designs.
